Join our team

Our R&D Materials Development team drives research and development of materials for products primarily made of steel and cemented carbide. We work closely with other R&D teams and other functions within the company.
The team in Fagersta collaborates globally with other Epiroc units, industry partners, institutes, and universities.



Your Mission

As a Materials Engineer, you will play a key role in developing sustainable products and advancing material science. Your responsibilities include:
  • Performing material investigations and characterization of various materials.
  • Participating as a resource in product development projects.
  • Acting as a company supervisor and collaborate internally and externally.
  • Writing technical reports, articles, and patents.

This role offers a dynamic environment where you will interact with multiple functions and external partners.



Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is:
  • Curious, self-driven, structured and committed to delivering high-quality results.
  • Collaborative and service-minded, with strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Passionate about materials science.
  • M.Sc. in Materials Engineering or higher.
  • Full proficiency in English (written and spoken); Swedish is an advantage.
  • Experience in analysis and characterization of Hard Materials, typically PCD and cemented carbide. (Please specify in CV expertise with unique equipment)

Location and other

This position is located in Fagersta, Sweden. Occasional travel is required.
