As aSystem Architect in Sweden, you will serve as the strategic bridge between local vision and global execution, orchestrating a complex portfolio of digital initiatives for our Swedish client base. Naturally, you will be the glue between our Swedish customers, cross-functional delivery teams, and Cognizant's regional leadership, ensuring seamless communication across all tiers In this role. Your ability to lead through influence rather than just authority is vital, respecting the flat organizational structures typical of our premier Swedish partners.

About the Team / Business Unit
TheIoT Business Unit(Internet of Things) functions as a specialized "Engine Room" where hardware meets software. This team isn't just about connectivity; it's about translating physical sensor data into actionable business intelligence for Swedish consumer markets. The team under the IoT umbrella is typically multidisciplinary, organized to handle the full lifecycle of a connected solution-from the "edge" (the device) to the "cloud" (the insight). Human centricity is a key parameter making decisions and building solutions.

About You:
TheSystem Architect for the IoT Business Unit owns the"how." In the Swedish market, where industrial precision meets high sustainability standards, this role is the technical heartbeat of the engagement.

As a System Architect, you are the master designer of the end-to-end IoT blueprint. You ensure that the data captured from a sensor on a factory floor in Malmö travels securely through the edge, scales in the cloud, and delivers a "single source of truth" on an executive dashboard.

You are a visionary who understands the physics of hardware and the logic of software. You must design systems that areresilient, secure, and future-proof,ensuring that the technology stack doesn't just work today, but can evolve over the next decade.

Your Key Result Areas:

Must-Have
Connectivity: Wi-Fi, LoRaWAN, BLE
Data:Time-series databases (eg. InfluxDB)
Security:PKI, TLS, OAuth 2.0

Nice-to-Have
Connectivity: Satellite IoT / Starlink integration
Data: AI/ML model deployment at the Edge
Security:Hardware Security Modules (HSM)

The System Architect will rely on you to provide theTechnical Roadmap. While they manage the client's expectations on delivery dates, you manage their expectations on technical feasibility. In Sweden, this partnership is often highly collaborative, requiring you to defend your architectural choices in a consensus-driven environment.

Required & nice to have Skills:

Must Haves:

• End-to-End IoT Architecture:Proficiency in designing the 4-layer IoT stack: Perception (Sensors/Actuators),Network(Gateways/Protocols),Middleware(Cloud/Ingestion), and Application (Data/UI).
• Connectivity Protocols: Deep expertise in communication standards like MQTT, CoAP, etc.
•Cloud Proficiency (Azure/AWS/GCP): Mastery of IoT-specific cloud services (e.g.,AWS IoT Core)
•Edge Computing:Ability to design "intelligent edges"
•Security Architecture: Implementing IAM, hardware-root-of-trust, and end-to-end encryption to protect against physical and digital tampering.
•Data Modeling: Experience with Time-Series Databases (e.g., InfluxDB, TimescaleDB) and handling high-velocity telemetry data.
• DevOps & CI/CD for IoT:Understanding how to manage Over-the-Air (OTA) firmware updates and automated testing for hardware-in-the-loop.
