BCSS CNE SPS creates and manage a compelling state of the art Software Development Flow and Development Environments for BCSS R&D. This enables BCSS R&D efficiency, simplicity and full compliancy when executing continuous design, development, integration, test, release, delivery and deployment of cloud native products (µ-services).

We are now looking for an experienced SW Flow shared services lead architect in our Cloud-Native SW Flow Program. Part of our Platform Engineering (PE) mission towards BCSS R&D. The Cloud-Native SW Flow Program accelerates software delivery for BCSS PDUs by streamlining compliance, standardizing workflows, and enabling fast onboarding to digital capabilities. We leverage automation, cloud-native principles, and GenAI to improve efficiency and reduce total cost of ownership.

As Lead Architect, you will define and evolve the technical direction for Cloud-Native SW Flow, ensuring coherence, compliance, and developer experience across services, pipelines, and golden paths. You will set architectural guardrails, enable automation, and champion integration with our platform engineering offering towards BCSS PDUs.

What you will do:

• Be part of shaping the future BCSS R&D software development experience, with software flow automation at scale
• Work at the intersection of cloud-native, AI/ML, and platform engineering
• Drive measurable impact on PDU developer efficiency and TCO reduction
• Own reference standards and blueprints for SW Flow
• Define and maintain Golden Paths and automation frameworks, for exposure on Development Portal
• Drive compliance by design and secure, scalable architecture
• Enable GenAI-powered efficiency in developer workflows
• Collaborate with product owners, DevOps teams, and contributors to ensure smooth adoption
• Engage with PDUs software development to identify opportunities for next generation Cloud-Native SW Flow
• Define and drive best practice SW Flow architecture for PDUs product development. Part of PE offering towards PDUs
• Work with our Platform team to maximise user experience on Development Portal
• Act as a technical leader for Cloud-Native SW Flow and influence strategic decisions
• Collaborate with top technical experts in a dynamic environment

The skills you bring:

• Proven System Architect experience
• Strong background in cloud-native architecture, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
• Experience with automation frameworks and policy-as-code
• Ability to balance innovation with compliance and security requirements
• Collaborative mindset to lead without hierarchy and influence across teams
• Experience with GitLab or GitHub
• Curious, collaborative, and empathetic - PDU developers pain points in focus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, iterative environment
• Collaborates by default and looks to work together rather than contend
• Plus: Experience applying AI/GenAI
• Plus: Knowledge of Automation and Platform Engineering
