SUPPLIER QUALITY ASSURANCE & DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The Supplier Quality Assurance & Development Manager is responsible for ensuring that products, components, and OEM solutions meet Electrolux Professional's quality, customer, sustainability, and compliance requirements.

The role focuses on supplier qualification, quality governance, performance management, risk prevention, and continuous improvement, acting as a key interface between suppliers, internal stakeholders, and customer-focused functions.

The contributor in this role need to have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of products, manufacturing processes, quality control methods, and excellent communication abilities

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Supplier Qualification & Governance
  • Conduct thorough assessments and audits of potential and existing suppliers to evaluate quality management systems, manufacturing processes, sustainability practices, and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Develop and implement supplier quality agreements, specifications, and standards to maintain consistency and excellence in product quality.
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers to identify areas for improvement, provide guidance on quality control processes, and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Supplier Performance & Continuous Improvement
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supplier performance and quality, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance through regular reviews, audits, and quality control inspections, addressing any deviations or non-conformances promptly.

Issue Resolution & Risk Management
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of supplier quality issues, including non-conformances, quality incidents, and supplier complaints, using structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ensure effective root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and verification of effectiveness.
  • Proactively identify quality risks within the supply base and implement preventive actions to mitigate potential impacts.

Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, and manufacturing, to drive quality initiatives, resolve issues, and support new product introductions.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and product changes by ensuring supplier readiness, process validation, PPAP approval, and risk assessments.
  • Provide quality expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders on supplier-related topics.
  • Contribute to customer-focused quality improvements by feeding back field performance and customer insights into supplier development actions.

Training & Knowledge Management
  • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for suppliers to enhance understanding of quality standards, requirements, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to supplier quality activities, including audit reports, performance reviews, and corrective action plans.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in supplier quality management, and proactively apply this knowledge to improve processes and procedures.


Qualifications

WHAT'S NEEDED FOR YOU TO THRIVE

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) are a plus.
  • Proven experience in supplier quality assurance or related roles within manufacturing or a similar industry (minimum 5 years)
  • Strong understanding of quality management principles, tools, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, PPAP, FMEA, control plan and root cause analisys).
  • Good knowledge of Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, with the ability to assess supplier compliance during audits.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in assessing supplier performance and product quality.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel to supplier locations for audits, inspections, and meetings.
  • Strong continuous improvement mindset, high integrity, and openness to learning.
