Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled and motivatedSummer Workerto join our Production Engineering team at our production facility at ABB Robotics Sweden!
You will work in an innovative environment where we build, test, and verify industrial robots and electrical cabinets used in advanced automation solutions. This role is contributing to Production Engineering Verification in Västerås.
You will support the evaluations of processes to identify areas for improvement, such as reducing waste, improving cycle times, and enhancing product quality. It means collaborating with cross-functional teams that work closely with production, quality control, maintenance, and other teams to ensure that assembly and verification processes align with overall production goals and meet customer requirements. The role will also involve contributing to the setup and development of processes for our 65,000 m² Campus Robotics facility, which is currently under construction.
This role is ideal for a student who have completed 2-3 years of their studies connected to production, assembly, or industrial manufacturing who wants to deepen their exposure to robotics and production engineering.
Qualifications
- You are studying or have finished your studies in Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- You have completed at least 2-3 years of relevant university or applied science studies (or equivalent).
- You have a basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production systems.
- You can read and understand technical drawings and work instructions.
- You are comfortable working with data and basic analysis tools (e.g. Excel).
- You are at ease communicating in English.
- You hold current a work permit valid in Sweden.
