ValueOne is seeking a Sourcing Specialist for a consulting assignment with one of our clients in the manufacturing industry located in Ludvika. The assignment starts immediately and will run for 12 months, with a strong possibility of extension.

ValueOne specializes in supply chain management, procurement, and logistics. We support our clients through three service areas: consultant staffing, recruitment, and Management Consulting, where we help organizations develop their procurement, logistics, and supply chain strategies, models, processes, organization, and capabilities.

About the Role

As a Sourcing Specialist, you are responsible for driving the procurement activities related to both direct and indirect materials across a wide range of R&D projects. The role serves as a key link between R&D engineers, suppliers, and the Supply Chain organization, with the purpose of ensuring the right materials, quality, and delivery performance for technically complex projects.

Managing the entire procurement process: supplier selection, sourcing, price and contract negotiations, order management, and contract administration.

Actively supporting and collaborating with R&D project teams to ensure material selection, quality, and delivery accuracy.

Leading sourcing activities and supplier interactions related to both direct and indirect materials.

Conducting technical discussions with suppliers regarding manufacturing processes and material choices.

Monitoring supplier performance and ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions.

Experience and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you hold an engineering degree and have at least two years of experience in tactical or strategic purchasing of both direct and indirect materials within a manufacturing environment. You possess strong technical understanding, are accustomed to reading technical drawings, and have experience managing procurement processes. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written. It is considered an advantage if you have knowledge of Swedish, as well as experience working with the analytical tool Power BI.

As a person, you are solution‑oriented, communicative, and confident working independently as well as coaching colleagues. You are used to handling complex projects and have the ability to build and maintain strong collaborations both internally and externally.
