Joining our international team across several countries, you will play a key role in shaping our platform architecture and supporting our ambition to become the market leader for corporate payments in Europe.

About the role

As a Solution Architect, you will play a key role in shaping and guiding the technical direction of our Java-based platform, authentication services, and surrounding MS Azure based cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with the Product Owner and engineering teams to define solution designs, ensure architectural coherence and support deployments of critical components in complex, distributed environments. As part of an international agile team setup, you will drive architectural best practices and contribute to building secure, scalable, well monitored and reliable systems.

Who you are

You are an experienced solution architect with a strong background in designing and guiding complex distributed systems. You combine deep technical expertise with the ability to structure, communicate, and drive architectural decisions in cross functional teams. You enjoy transforming business and nonfunctional requirements into robust technical designs and feel comfortable navigating security, performance, and regulatory constraints. You are collaborative, pragmatic, and able to balance strategic thinking with handson support during implementation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the incremental development of solution designs in close collaboration with the agile teams.
• Developing network, deployment, security, monitoring, and database concepts as part of the overall solution design, involving relevant stakeholders.
• Supporting the Product Owner in writing user stories that cover non-functional requirements and required operational procedures for production.
• Defining and executing tests derived from non-functional requirements (e.g., performance, failover, observability).
• Supporting hands- develop of explorative prototypes

Who we are looking for:

• Strong experience as a Solution Architect designing highly integrated systems with demanding non-functional requirements
• Deep expertise in Java/Spring Boot and microservice architectures
• Hands-on programming expertise
• Solid understanding of security, authentication/authorization, and financial industry regulations (ISO27001, PCI DSS, GoBD; GDPR a plus)
• Experience with deployments in low latency, high availability, multidatacenter or hybrid cloud environments
• Knowledge of modern messaging technologies and event based distributed architecture
• Strong skills in monitoring, observability and operational readiness of complex platforms
• Good understanding of database technologies and their performance and reliability characteristics
• Excellent modelling and documentation skills (UML; ERM; ArchiMate nice to have)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross functional agile teams
• Fluency in English
