As part of our digital transformation journey, we are expanding our digital services platform to enable smarter, datadriven farming. We're now looking for an AWS Solution Architect to ensure our cloud architecture is coherent, scalable, and strategically aligned across teams and systems

Role and responsibilities

As an AWS Solution Architect, you'll act as a technical leader and enabler-bridging systems, teams, and strategy. Your mission is to empower development teams to deliver high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions by guiding architectural patterns, aligning on standards, and supporting complex decision-making.

In this role you will

• Guide Cloud Architecture: Shape and maintain AWS architecture patterns that support scalability, security, and cost efficiency across multiple domains.
• Enable Teams: Provide guidance on AWS best practices, integration patterns, and cross cutting concerns without taking over team ownership.
• Support Decision-Making: Help teams evaluate trade-offs and ensure coherence in technical decisions for services that span multiple systems.
• Collaborate Across Domains: Work with digital services, embedded software, and enterprise IT teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment.
• Mentor and Coach: Raise architectural maturity by coaching engineers and tech leads on cloud design principles and patterns.
• Promote Standards: Drive adoption of agreed architectural boundaries and practices while empowering teams to move fast within those boundaries.
• Visualize Architecture: Create clear, communicative diagrams and models that make complex systems understandable.
• Spot Synergies: Maintain a cross-team perspective to identify duplication, gaps, and opportunities for shared services.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role we believe that you have:

• 5+ years in solution architecture or cloud architecture roles, with strong AWS expertise.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (compute, storage, networking, security) and patterns for scalability and resilience.
• Ability to see the big picture and align architecture with business goals.
• Comfortable facilitating cross-team workshops and early-stage technical discovery.
• Strong visual and verbal communicator-able to produce clean, understandable architectural artifacts.
• Familiar with agile methodologies

Beneficial but not essential

• Experience with IoT systems or connected devices.
• Background in digital platforms or B2B SaaS.
• Familiarity with agricultural or industrial equipment.

Additional information

This is a full-time permanent position based at DeLaval's headquarters in Tumba, south of Stockholm. We offer a hybrid workplace model, allowing flexibility to work remotely.
