We are seeking a skilled and motivated software developer with good knowledge regarding embedded software and systems design to join our team. Knowledge regarding ethernet communication or backend software is also preferable.
In this role, you will be working with firmware development and deployment. You will collaborate with skilled hardware, software and power electronics engineers, and you will together with the software team take responsibility for your deliveries. It is beneficial to have experience in product development within Scania.
You should have knowledge in C/C++ and a broad professional network. We value cross-functional experience within R&D, and ideally, you have worked in multiple areas.

Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a software developer in a small team, working closely with the hardware designers
- Collaborate with hardware and power electronics engineers to ensure integrated system solutions
- Develop advanced algorithms to ensure optimal product performance
- Plan and execute according to timelines and project plans
- Work hands on with prototypes and support testing and validation activities
- Contribute to the strategic development of our products, with a focus on short and long-term innovation and sustainability
- Ensure compliance with standards and Scania's PD process for software development
- Represent our group in internal and external forums
Who You Are
You have several years of experience in product development and a broad technical perspective gained from working across different R&D domains. You areproactive, solution-oriented, and thrive in an environment where innovation and collaboration are key.
We also believe that you:
- Hold a relevant university degree in computer engineering, mechatronics, or similar
- Enjoy contributing to strategic discussions and long-term product development
- Have worked in early-stage or entrepreneurial settings, preferably within charging infrastructure
- 5+ years of experience from software development within C/C++
- Embedded: You have experience with building embedded applications for bare metal MCUs and/or RTOS
- Yocto Linux: You have experience working with embedded Linux applications and networking
- Back-end capabilities and cyber security: While embedded is your bread and butter, practical experience with back-end frameworks and cyber security will be considered an asset
