Assignment description

Our customer is running the world's first fully automated electrode production line in Norway producing 500 MW of electrodes. The hydrogen market is developing rapidly, our customer is increasing its capacity to meet the needs. They are currently building their second production line of 500MW and are planning to expand even further to become the market leader in producing electrodes.

Next step is to industrialize a new technology of electrolyzer and therefore we are looking for a Senior Technical Lead within Assembly - a project manager who is a safe and strong driver of technical solutions and experienced in taking ownership for a production assemly solution.

We are looking for a motivated and skilled person with a background in Automotive Industry (Assembly) or similar to support the growth. The position reports to the Manufacturing Expansion Director and will be localized approx. 3 days/week in Porsgrunn/Norway and 2 days from office/home office.

Overall responsibility:

Assembly lead for India project supporting Reliance setting up an assembly line

Technical lead of industrialization of PE (Pressurized Electrolyzer)

Tasks and responsibilities

Technical lead of PE (Pressurized Electrolyzer) - Lead/support/coordinate industrialization engineers

Lead Technical support to Reliance

Support development of equipment specification, P-FMEA, control plan etc. for resp. process

Support Quality assurance of product

Participate in design (by suppliers) of assembly stations/line

Follow up that suppliers is developing to

Specifications and Industry standards

Robust solutions

Good HSE std.

Assurance a good quality level

Follow up

Supplier Quotes and support negotiations with purhase

Time Schedule agreed

Perform SAT and FAT and other deliverables

Analyzes of Cycle time and OEE

Establish effective communication with suppliers

Qualification and experience

Sc./M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering

Min 10 years of industrial experience

Solid multidisciplinary technical understanding from different industries

Experience of below is a plus

High volume production / short cycle time / robust processes

Robots

Laser welding

Plastic injection molding

Ultrasonic welding

Experience as a project or technical lead

Experience from production environments and development incl. quality assurance

Experience in working with India companies

Other competencies and personal skills

Self-driven and independent

Structured and detailed focused

Excellent communication and collaborative skills

Comfortable with a wide variety of technical discussions, both internally and externally

Has the ability to stay calm and to get a good overview in hectic situations

Flexible person - Small company mind set, we rely on that we can support each other when needed
