Biotage is seeking a Senior Software Development Managerto lead a dynamic multidisciplinary team responsible for all software development across our diverse product portfolio. This role offers the opportunity to work with a broad range of platforms and technologies including C, Java, C#, WPF, JavaFX, Angular, and Java Script supported by a suite of development tools.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the software development team based in Uppsala
• Oversee software development for system-level software across multiple platforms and technologies.
• Actively contribute to the strategic planning as part of the Biotage R&D leadership team.
• Drive resource allocation, project execution and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate cross functionally with global stakeholders in Sales, R&D, and regional markets.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets and strategic technology roadmaps
• Own and continuously improve software development processes, tools, and quality assurance practices

Skills and Experience:

• MSc in Engineering or related field
• Proven experience in Product Development
• Strong leadership with experience in a managerial role
• Strategic mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast paced, evolving environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influence across teams
