Assignment Description

We are looking for a Senior Scala / Java Developer

What you will work on

Design and develop big data services and data pipelines using Scala and Java

Build algorithms for matching, conflation, anomaly detection, and data validation

Improve system scalability, efficiency, and turnaround time to keep data fresh

Work with large-scale ETL processes and data streaming solutions

Identify, propose, and implement process improvements and automation opportunities

Formulate requirements for new functionality and solution designs

Design and develop APIs and REST-based services

Collaborate closely with skilled developers to deliver high-quality solutions

Share knowledge and support continuous improvement within the team

What you bring

Strong programming and software design skills

Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with the JVM, preferably Scala

Experience with big data frameworks such as Spark, Akka, or Play

Solid experience with big data ETL and data streaming

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work independently and take ownership in complex environments

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken

Willingness to work onsite in Malmö and either permanent residency in Sweden or commitment to relocate
