About the Assignment
You will join a global SAP TM rollout in a complex logistics environment where local solutions are built on top of a shared template and connected to a broad enterprise landscape. The focus is on creating robust, scalable SAP TM setups that support transportation planning, execution, and a smooth transition from project delivery into long-term product ownership.
You will work closely with integration partners and stakeholders across business and IT to develop solutions that are technically strong, aligned with SAP clean core principles, and ready for continuous improvement. This is an exciting assignment if you want to combine hands-on SAP TM development with real influence over global rollout quality and long-term maintainability.
Job DescriptionYou will participate in workshops around the global SAP TM template and help shape how local templates are developed and configured.
You will develop and configure SAP TM solutions as part of a broader global rollout.
You will integrate SAP TM with SAP ECC and SAP S/4 components such as EWM, GTS, and VIM, as well as with internal systems and 3PL solutions through EDI, IDocs, APIs, and web services.
You will collaborate with a service integration partner and other internal and external stakeholders to support a successful rollout.
You will improve SAP TM planning capabilities, including routing, carrier selection, optimization profiles, and enhancements in Transportation Cockpit.
You will develop and enhance TM applications using SAP Fiori and UI5, including activation of catalogs and OData services.
You will help secure handover of rolled-out SAP TM instances from project teams to the product line organization.
You will contribute to support, analysis, and continuous improvement of SAP TM.
RequirementsProven experience with SAP Transportation Management, embedded or decentralized.
Strong expertise in ABAP, ABAP OO, BOPF, BRF+, CDS Views, OData, and FPM/UI enhancements.
Strong experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development.
Good understanding of TM master data, Freight Units, Freight Orders, Charge Management, and carrier integration.
Experience integrating SAP TM with SAP ECC or SAP S/4 systems and with external systems through EDI, API, and IDoc.
Solid knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes, especially transportation planning and execution.
Ability to translate business requirements into effective TM configurations and technical designs.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a large global environment.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
