With new knowledge and new perspectives, the University contributes to a better future.The Institute of Clinical Sciences, is searching for a researcher to work within projects in cancer epidemiology, radiobiological modelling and advanced survival analyses. The research group has large experience of epidemiological and clinical research in which molecular markers and dose data are used to study effects on tumours but also to study side effects of treatment, such as elevated risk of cancer occurrence after treatment. The new knowledge will help to better balance risks and benefits of different new cancer treatments.
Duties
The researcher will work within projects in cancer epidemiology, radiobiological modelling and advanced survival analyses. The task is to perform independent work in the group with dose-response analyses using the software EPICURE, perform linkage of cohorts to several population-bases registers, perform methods for calculations of relative survival and competing risk analyses.
Qualifications
For the position as researcher, a PhD in medical sciences is required. Documented competence in cancer epidemiology, radiophysics and statistics within clinical sciences is a strongly meritorious. Experience of epidemiological cancer research and experience of radiobiological research is needed.
Employment
The employment is limited (temporary) for 12 months, 60 % of full-time and is placed at the Institute of Clinical Sciences. Starting date; 2026-01-01.
