What you'll do here as a QA Engineer?
In this role, you'll dive deep into the functionality and performance of our video analytics use-case solutions. You will evaluate AI models and algorithmic updates using real-world scenario datasets and well-defined metrics, ensuring that our applications are robust, reliable, accurate, and ready for production.

Your day-to-day work will include:

Data Analysis

• Analyzing test results to assess value, accuracy, and significance.
• Evaluating test coverage and ensuring alignment with intended objectives.
• Understand use cases, products, and the Axis ecosystem to design and execute relevant and meaningful tests.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Creating, curating, and maintaining essential video evaluation datasets and metrics to ensure broad and relevant scene/use-case coverage.
• Analyzing results and suggesting improvements to tests, processes, and datasets.
• Developing clear annotation guidelines and managing quality control with tools like CVAT to ensure high-quality ground truth.
• Evaluating AI model outputs using curated datasets and metrics to identify strengths and improvement areas.
• Performing QA on internally developed tools to ensure high standards of quality and reliability.

Experience & Skills

• A background in testing with an understanding of the development lifecycle (e.g., build pipelines).
• A strong testing mindset with a black-box testing approach.
• A proactive, improvement-oriented mindset, contributing actively to better workflows and processes.
• Experience in the field of video analytics, data evaluation, or computer vision is a plus.

Technical Environment

• Comfortable working from the terminal with knowledge of Linux.
• Understanding of software frameworks, architectural concepts, and container-based environments such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Coding familiarity is considered a plus.

Soft Skills

• Strong sense of teamwork and a positive, collaborative attitude.
• Pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to give (and receive) constructive and supportive feedback.
