As aProgram Manager in Sweden, you will serve as the strategic bridge between local vision and global execution, orchestrating a complex portfolio of digital initiatives for our Swedish client base. Naturally, you will be the glue between our Swedish customers, cross-functional delivery teams, and Cognizant's regional leadership, ensuring seamless communication across all tiers In this role. Your ability to lead through influence rather than just authority is vital, respecting the flat organizational structures typical of our premier Swedish partners.

About the Team / Business Unit
TheIoT Business Unit(Internet of Things) functions as a specialized "Engine Room" where hardware meets software. This team isn't just about connectivity; it's about translating physical sensor data into actionable business intelligence for Swedish consumer markets. The team under the IoT umbrella is typically multidisciplinary, organized to handle the full lifecycle of a connected solution-from the "edge" (the device) to the "cloud" (the insight). Human centricity is a key parameter making decisions and building solutions.
About You:
As the Program Manager, you sit at the center of these groups. Your challenge is ensuring that the hardware team isn't waiting on the cloud team, and that the data science outputs actually meet the commercial KPIs set by the Business Development Manager.
•Agile at Scale:The team usually operates in Sprints, but with the added complexity of hardware lead times and regulatory compliance (such as GDPR and EU cybersecurity standards).
•Sweden-Specific Focus: There is often a heavy emphasis onSustainability and Green IoT, aligning with Swedish corporate values to monitor carbon footprints and resource efficiency.
Your Key Result Areas:
KRA Category Primary Metric Focus Area
Delivery Schedule Variance (SV) Milestone completion and edge-to-cloud integration.
Financial Revenue & Margin % P&L health and contract growth.
CustomerCSAT / NPS Long-term partnership and "trusted advisor" status.
Operational Resource Utilization Balancing local Swedish talent with global delivery.
Required & nice to have Skills:
Must Haves:
• Complex Program Governance: Mastery of managing multiple projects using a hybrid ofAgile(for software/cloud) and Waterfall (for hardware/infrastructure) methodologies.
• IoT Ecosystem Literacy: An understanding of the IoT stack-from sensors and gateways to cloud integration (AWS Preferred) and data visualization.
•Commercial & P&L Management: You must be able to manage budgets, understand TCV (Total Contract Value), and identify "scope creep" that could hurt margins.
•Stakeholder Management (C-Suite to Edge):The ability to translate technical jargon into business value for executives, while still being able to hold a meaningful conversation with a lead engineer.
• Risk & Dependency Mapping: Expert-level ability to spot risks in overall program (e.g., chipset shortages) or local deployment hurdles before they derail the timeline.
