About the Role

You will lead a Production Engineering Automation function in a factory environment where automation, robotics and long-term capability building are central to continued development. The role combines people leadership, technical direction and operational improvement, with responsibility for ensuring that automated production and logistics processes support project targets and that process design is approved for both internally and externally developed solutions.

You will guide a team of around 12-15 employees in their daily work, improving existing automation solutions while delivering new automation projects and investments. At the same time, you will help shape the future of a new production campus by strengthening automation capabilities, building competence and developing methods that support the factory over time.

You will work closely with colleagues across Industrial Engineering as well as global engineering, R&D and IS/IT. This is an exciting opportunity for you if you want to influence both daily operations and the long-term direction of automation in a complex production environment.

Job DescriptionYou will lead and develop the Production Engineering Automation team in day-to-day delivery and continuous improvement.

You will ensure that automated production and logistics processes align with project targets and approve process design for internally and externally developed solutions.

You will drive improvements to existing automation solutions and support delivery across automation projects and investments.

You will strengthen automation capabilities, build competence within the department and help define future needs.

You will develop processes and long-term methods for automation across the factory.

You will reinforce a strong health and safety culture and take responsibility for OHSE within the area.

You will support the introduction of WCM and the development of the Robotics Production System.

You will ensure that relevant certification, ISO and CE compliance are in place for automation cell areas.

You will contribute to the production plant project portfolio through project governance and audits.

You will collaborate with global engineering, R&D, IS/IT and other stakeholders to support digitalization, capacity and productivity development.

RequirementsExperience leading teams within production engineering, automation or a similar industrial environment.

Strong understanding of automated production and logistics processes.

Experience improving automation solutions and delivering automation projects.

Ability to guide and approve process design for internally and externally developed automation solutions.

Experience working with health and safety, OHSE and compliance in a factory setting.

Knowledge of certification, ISO and CE compliance related to automation cell areas.

Ability to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders in Industrial Engineering, global engineering, R&D and IS/IT.

Experience supporting project governance, audits, capacity development and productivity improvements.

Ability to balance technical development with long-term operational and financial targets.
