JOB MISSION
As a key strategic enabler, the Product Manager's objective is to strengthen Piab's position as a leading company in our industry by managing the product assortment, including:
Ordering and introduction of new products
Pricing
Cost management
Product launches
You are responsible for setting the strategic direction for our global Robotic Gripping standard offering.
This role reports directly to the Senior Product Manager, Ejectors, Vacuum Automation Division. You will be part of a dynamic and multicultural team responsible for the strategic direction, development, and management of our product portfolios.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product assortment management - Define the scope of current and future product lines by reviewing portfolio performance, new product ideas and/or product improvements.
Set and drive the strategic roadmap for the product portfolio.
New product development - Clarify customer needs and requirements that complement our existing product portfolio. Initiate research when needed and obtain market information to write market requirement specifications for new product lines.
Define business cases for new products and updates to existing products.
Ensure product profitability (pricing, discounts, and cost).
Conduct business intelligence and monitor portfolio performance.
Develop strategic prioritization of portfolio development towards our key business segments.
Act as a divisional resource in NPI (New Product Introduction) projects and the ECO (Engineering Change Order) process.
Own the global commercialization strategy for new products.

The Global Product Manager reports directly to the Senior Product Manager, Ejectors, Vacuum Automation Division.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
A university degree in engineering, business management, strategy, or a similar field
A track record in product development, innovation, R&D, or product management in multinational companies, or in management consulting, preferably in a B2B environment
Experience in direct and/or indirect leadership
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Preferably experience in customer-facing interactions through sales meetings, development projects, or business development activities
In this role, you are required to act in accordance with the Piab Code of Conduct and to know and follow Piab's values, mission, and routines. This role may require global travel to both Piab and external parties' locations, when applicable.
