About the job
As Process Owner within BCM Services, you will play a central role in taking SEB's well-established business continuity and crisis management framework to the next level. With a solid and mature foundation already in place, your mission will be to evolve and modernize our group-wide methodology to meet the demands of a dynamic risk landscape and an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
You'll lead the full BCM lifecycle - from risk assessments and business impact analyses (BIA) to recovery planning, crisis response, and testing - while continuously looking for ways to simplify, streamline, and future-proof our approach. Innovation is at the heart of the BCM Services team: we actively explore new ways of working, use data in smarter ways, and apply technology to strengthen preparedness and resilience.
In this role, you'll collaborate with stakeholders across the bank to embed BCM processes into daily operations, ensuring they are understood, implemented, and continuously improved. You'll be part of a highly engaged, forward-looking team within SEB's Risk Services function, reporting to the Head of BCM Services. This is a unique opportunity to contribute strategically while driving real, hands-on impact in one of SEB's most important areas of operational resilience.
Among other responsibilities, you will work with:
• Lead the development and implementation of a BCM methodology covering risk assessments, continuity planning, testing, and recovery.
• Together with the team, oversee the full BCM lifecycle, ensuring plans are regularly updated, tested, and aligned with regulations.
• Lead development of crises management process and work with cross-functional teams to develop, refine, and maintain crisis management plans.
• Ensure the CMT is well-prepared for handling a range of crises, including ICT incidents, operational disruptions, and external events, as part of a comprehensive business continuity plan.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and ensure compliance with regulations.
To thrive in this role we believe you have
• An education in business continuity, crisis management, or related fields, with BCM certifications being a plus.
• Proven experience of 5+ years in business continuity management, disaster recovery, or crisis management, ideally within financial services, with a focus on process ownership.
• Experience in managing the BCM lifecycle and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills to lead collaboration and drive strategic improvements.
• The ability to challenge the status quo and contribute to the modernization of existing frameworks through innovative thinking, data-driven insights, and smart use of technology.
• Leadership capabilities to engage and inspire stakeholders, build trust, and foster a culture of preparedness across the organization.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English.
• A mindset to drive projects as well as skills to understand, develop and implement solutions.
