Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Systems Engineer to join their inverter systems team. This role focuses on system-level design and requirements engineering for inverter technology within advanced electric drive applications.

The position is ideal for a professional with strong expertise in power electronics, system safety, and stakeholder coordination, who can contribute to both design and requirement definition activities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead system-level design and development activities for inverter systems.

Gather, analyze, and define system requirements in alignment with project objectives.

Decompose high-level requirements into detailed technical specifications.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment across system, software, and hardware domains.

Contribute to system safety design in accordance with industry standards.

Support collaboration with external suppliers, ensuring technical clarity and requirement alignment.

Required Experience

Proven experience in power electronics system engineering, particularly within inverter design.

Strong background in both software and hardware aspects of power electronics.

Experience working with electric drive systems.

Hands-on experience in requirements engineering and management.

Familiarity with functional safety and process standards such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE.

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Required Skills

Inverter design and system development

Power electronics (hardware and software)

Requirements elicitation and management

System-level thinking and integration

Preferred Skills

Experience with MATLAB/Simulink

Familiarity with CarWeaver or similar system simulation tools

Knowledge of electric propulsion or drive systems

Language Requirement

Strong proficiency in English (spoken and written)
