PDU Cloud develops cloud products (BSP, CEE, CCD, SDI, SDN, OMC) for Ericsson's Operator and IT Cloud offerings. These virtualized solutions are key to our next-generation product portfolio. Within PDU Cloud IDS you will focus on Integration, Deployment & Support for CCD and related products. The role involves customer-facing deployment activities, troubleshooting, integration, verification and contribution to product and support documentation. You will travel to customer sites and partner offices for POCs, DVAs, deployments and onsite support. We seek a curious, customer-focused engineer with strong interest in cloud technologies.
What you will do:
- Design, integrate and troubleshoot infrastructure built from open-source components and Ericsson solutions.
- Participate across the lifecycle: system design, development, integration, verification and customer deployment.
- Provide application and product support, including technical presentations and solution guidance.
- Perform deployment activities and handle product/customer support requests, including troubleshooting in customer networks and 24/7 emergency phone cover when required.
- Drive continuous improvements in products and processes and contribute to requirement handling and testing.
- Share knowledge and collaborate closely with product and delivery teams.
The skills you bring:
Essential
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes / CCD and container technologies (Docker, etc.).
- Strong networking knowledge (TCP/UDP, ICMP, DNS), OSI layers and packet analysis (Wireshark/tcpdump).
- Proficiency with Linux and scripting; programming experience (Python, Java, C/C++, Go) is valuable.
- Experience with configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack) and virtualization (KVM/QEMU) or cloud platforms.
- Customer-facing mindset, good communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility, willingness to learn and ability to work across disciplines.
- Readiness for short-term international travel.
Valuable / can be developed on the job
- Security practices for infrastructure and CI/CD, lifecycle management (patching, vulnerability handling), and service-oriented integrations (REST APIs).
Minimum qualifications & experience:
- MSc in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- Fluent English.
