Job Description

Responsible for managing, improving and administering the payroll process for all Swedish Emerson employees. Key responsibilities include ensuring efficient, accurate and timely salary/benefits pay-outs, tax reductions etc as well as ensuring compliance with company policies/standards and legal standards/regulations.

You will work on site, in our office in Molnlycke, Sweden.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Payroll Management: Execute end-to-end payroll processing activities for employees, including data entry, calculations of salaries, bonuses, and deductions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established deadlines. Responsible for matrix interactions with local HR, HR operations and the outsourcing partner to ensure effective handle of payroll management.
  • Time-reporting system: Owner and super-user of time-reporting system.
  • Compliance: Stay updated on Swedish labor laws, tax regulations, and social security requirements to ensure compliance in all payroll-related activities. Interpret and apply relevant laws and regulations appropriately. Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive payroll information.
  • Tax Management: Calculate and process tax withholdings, including income tax, social security contributions, and other statutory deductions in compliance with Swedish tax laws. Coordinate with tax authorities as necessary.
  • Benefit Administration: Lead employee benefits administration, including pensions, insurance, and other fringe benefits, ensuring accurate deductions and contributions in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Employee Inquiries: Address employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and benefits promptly and accurately. Provide excellent customer service to resolve issues and concerns effectively.
  • Reporting: Generate payroll reports, including earnings statements, tax filings, and other relevant reports for internal and external collaborators. Prepare and submit statutory reports to regulatory authorities as required.
  • Process Improvement: See opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in payroll operations. Implement best way of working to streamline processes and enhance accuracy and timeliness.

You are business-oriented, structured, and pragmatic. You build trust quickly, communicate clearly, and are comfortable balancing operational delivery with longer-term development. You thrive in a role with multiple stakeholders and where judgement, integrity, and collaboration are key.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Fluency in both English and Swedish, written and spoken
  • Strong expertise in Swedish labor law and collective bargaining agreements
  • At least Higher Vocational Education (HVE) is required;
  • Proven experience working with Flex payroll systems
  • Minimum of three years of relevant payroll experience
  • Experience working in organizations with both blue-collar and white-collar employee group
  • Proven experience in payroll analysis, reconciliation, and process improvement initiatives


Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience within an outsourced payroll or HR environment (e.g. Azets or similar) is considered an advantage
  • In-depth knowledge of Teknikavtalet collective agreement
  • Experience managing payroll-related communication and reporting to Skatteverket
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
