Payroll Specialist - Nordics (with Comp & Ben Exposure)

Who are we looking for?
Ework Group is looking for a Payroll Specialist to manage andoptimize our payroll processes in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland. Youwill work closely with our external partner, Grant Thornton, to ensure legalcompliance and efficient payroll operations. In addition to payroll duties, youwill be involved in compensation and benefits (Comp & Ben), contributing tothe development of our compensation packages, career framework and prepare usfor aligning with the EU Transparency Directive.
Role responsibilities/tasks
Role Responsibilities:
• Manage payroll processing for Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland in close collaboration with our external payroll partner
• Ensure compliance with payroll, tax, pension, and benefits administration according to local regulations and internal policies
• Provide payroll-related support to managers and employees
• Deliver payroll data and reports to HR and Finance and manage the annual salary review process
• Work on improving and automating payroll processes for enhanced efficiency
• Support internal and external audits related to payroll and benefits data
• Assist with compensation and benefits initiatives as needed, such as salary benchmarking and other related projects
Requirements:
• You have at least 5 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in a Nordic context
• You have a good understanding of local payroll and tax legislation
• You have experience working with external payroll providers and HR systems
• You are analytical, detail-oriented, and focused on accuracy
• You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with HR, Finance, and other functions
• You are comfortable handling sensitive information with high confidentiality and integrity
• You are fluent inEnglish and Swedish, proficiency in other Nordic language/-s is a meriting
