Job Description

Our client is looking for a skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java and AWS cloud technologies. The role involves contributing to the development of scalable, cloud-native backend systems that support advanced robotic solutions.

The selected candidate will work within a collaborative, cross-functional environment, playing a vital role in building reliable microservices and ensuring seamless cloud integration.

Key Responsibilities

Architect, develop, and maintain backend services using Java (version 11 or above)

Design and manage distributed systems and microservices architectures for high-performance applications

Partner with DevOps teams to deploy and operate solutions on AWS using services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, S3, and API Gateway

Contribute to the development and optimization of CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes

Support and enhance infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

Perform code reviews, testing, and performance optimization to ensure quality and efficiency

Actively participate in agile development processes and collaborate across teams throughout the software lifecycle

Required Experience

Intermediate-level experience as a Backend or Java Developer

Hands-on experience building scalable microservices and distributed systems

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Required Skills

Strong proficiency in Java (Java 11 or later)

Experience working with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, S3, and API Gateway

Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Experience with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes

Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation) is an advantage

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in team environments
