Medical Director - with a Strong Link to Clinical Operations
A leading global biopharmaceutical company with a strong focus on innovation and specialized healthcare is now seeking a Medical Director for a strategically important role. The Role
As Medical Director, you will hold a key position within the organization, contributing medical expertise, strategic leadership, and a highly visible, hands-on approach. The role involves close collaboration with regional and global functions such as Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Clinical Operations, where clinical development and the execution of studies are central areas of responsibility.

You will be responsible for leading and developing a highly competent and dedicated medical team, actively driving medical, scientific, and clinical initiatives. A core part of the assignment is to ensure strong alignment between Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations - from strategy through to the operational execution of clinical trials - in line with the company's overall business objectives.

The role also includes the development of scientific communication strategies, relationship-building with external stakeholders, and ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with the highest ethical and regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Experience
To succeed in this role, you are expected to have:

• Strong cross-functional capabilities and experience working closely with multiple functions, including Clinical Operations
• A clear commercial and strategic mindset
• At least 5-10 years of experience within Medical Affairs
• Proven leadership experience
• Deep scientific expertise within relevant therapeutic areas
• A proactive, pragmatic, and results-driven approach with low prestige
• Interest in and readiness for international work and travel
• Ambition and potential to develop in a global context
• Strong communication skills; proficiency in Swedish is considered a merit
• Location in the Stockholm region is preferred
