About this opportunity:
6G mobile communication systems are to support a wide range of different services, which are characterized by their bitrate and latency requirements. Moreover, the kind of traffic these services generate vary greatly dependent on the application. In the heart of a mobile communication system stands the resource allocation, which assigns traffic generated by various services to the available time-frequency resources. Contemporary mobile radio sites employ up to 10 frequency bands, which is expected to grow further in the future.
The objective of the Master Thesis is to implement, optimize and evaluate resource allocation and scheduling algorithms for differentiated services in 6G cellular networks. This includes taking real-world constraints into account, such as traffic characteristics and processing time. The project is expected to be performed in Kista starting in 2026 Q1.
