We are looking for aManager, Business Controlto join our Finance team in Espoo, Finland or Solna, Sweden and support ourCorporate Customers and Marketsbusiness unit within Fortum.Corporate Customers and Markets (CCM) is responsible for hedging and value creation both in physical and financial power markets and is a customer interface for industrial customers to drive decarbonisation in industries and provide clean energy at scale.
About the role
As a Manager, Business Control, you will play a key role in supporting the newly established Product management organization within CCM, as well as projects run by the Business Development & Transformation team.
In this role, you will:
- Set up and follow up accurate and aligned financial and operational targets and key performance indicators.
- Facilitate performance evaluations and enable data-driven decision-making, and suggest and steer the improvement actions.
- Support case evaluations and financial modelling for initiatives.
- Optimize resource allocation and manage interdependencies across projects.
- Act as a trusted business partner to leaders, fostering collaboration and providing financial insights to support strategic decisions.

About You
We are looking for candidates who bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and the capacity to build close collaboration while influencing senior stakeholders. You should be comfortable operating in a dynamic environment, seeing the bigger picture, and turning data into actionable insights.
Additionally, you will have:
- Solid experience in business partnering with a proven track record.
- Extensive experience in performance management, data reporting, and financial modeling.
- Understanding of commodity markets; previous experience in physical and financial electricity markets is considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge of finance reporting systems and tools (such as Hyperion Financial Management, Cognos, or similar).
- Hands-on experience managing large data sets, reporting, and data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI).
- 5-10 years of proven experience in similar roles.
- A relevant educational background; a Master's degree in Business, Economics, or Engineering is considered an asset.
- Fluency in English; Nordic language skills are an advantage for local stakeholder communication and regional collaboration.
