At Epiroc, we believe that safety, inclusivity, and diversity are the foundation of strong, high performing teams. We are committed to creating an inclusive work environment and continuously strive to diversify our teams in terms of gender, age, culture, and experience-because we know that diversity drives innovation and excellence. The Parts and Services Division is now looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join the Technical Project & Program Delivery team in Örebro.
In this role, you will have a real opportunity to influence future ways of working. A proactive and innovative mindset is therefore key. You will work closely with colleagues in Örebro as well as with our Customer Centers and Hubs around the world.
We apply an agile approach to maintenance development and are on a journey to become increasingly data driven. At Epiroc, we highly value a positive work environment, employee well being, and health.
Your mission
As a Maintenance Engineer, your mission is to coordinate and develop maintenance strategies for our products. You will be an integral part of product development projects, ensuring that designs are optimized from a service perspective-focusing on safety, cost efficiency, and minimizing unplanned downtime. To develop robust maintenance plans, you will work with methodologies such as FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis) and RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance).
You will also play a key role in:
• Defining spare parts strategies, including what parts should be stocked
• Documenting spare part kits in our PLM system
• Collaborating closely with Research & Development throughout the entire product lifecycle
Continuous improvement is central to this role. By leveraging feedback from customers and the service organization, you will help refine both maintenance strategies and product design.
In addition, you will contribute to identifying new service business opportunities across our installed fleet by supporting service and marketing organizations with product improvement proposals, enhanced tools, and improved processes. To succeed, you need the motivation to be innovative and the drive to take ideas all the way from concept to implementation.
Your profile
We believe you have:
• A university degree in engineering and/or several years of relevant practical engineering experience
• Experience from Mining, Heavy Equipment, or Construction industries (considered an advantage)
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience analyzing large data sets and a solid understanding of maintenance optimization
You also have:
• Good knowledge of how to use field data for maintenance development
• Experience working in PLM systems (e.g. Siemens Teamcenter)
• The ability to read and understand product drawings and schematics
Experience in FMECA, RCM, and ILS/IPS work is considered beneficial.
As a person, you are a team player with a strong commitment to quality. You are driven by delivering best practice solutions and creating real value for our customers' businesses. We are looking for an analytical engineer with a strong interest in change management and continuous improvement. You have the ability to challenge and evolve ways of working, contribute to digitalisation initiatives, and drive improvements operationally while managing multiple activities in parallel. You are proactive, curious, and bring ideas that help move the organisation forward.
