About the role
The Logistics Manager isaccountable for leading and developing the warehouse organization and alllogistics operations across both internal and external warehouses. Thisincludes optimizing logistics processes and flows, managing key partnerships,and contributing to commercial agreements and negotiations. The role ensuresfull compliance, high efficiency, and a strong focus on continuous improvementin alignment with the strategy for Site Karlshamn. In this position, you willdrive the development of the warehouse organization and logistics function tosupport operational excellence. You will manage internal and external logisticspartners to maximize service efficiency and reliability. Additionally, you willlead and develop the Warehouse department as well as the team of LogisticsCoordinators to ensure strong performance, capability building, and a cultureof improvement.
Responsibilities
As Logistics Manager, you willplay a central role in shaping efficient, safe, and compliant warehouse andlogistics operations for Site Karlshamn.
Your main responsibilities include:
Health, Safety &Compliance
- Create and uphold a safe working environment across all warehouse and logistics activities.
- Ensure full compliance with laws, regulations, GMP/GDP requirements, and internal standards (including responsibilities in SOP 7369).
- Maintain and continuously improve routines, SOPs, and process documentation.
- Lead structured root-cause analyses and corrective actions to secure long-term operational excellence.
People Leadership
- Lead and develop the Warehouse team and Logistics
- Coordinators, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build competence within the department through training, coaching, and performance management.
Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management
- Oversee daily warehouse planning, capacity utilization, and operational performance.
- Secure accurate inventory levels, including stock-taking planning, execution, and follow-up.
- Drive initiatives to strengthen automation, digital tools, and efficient material flows.
Logistics Operations &Partner Management
- Manage internal and external logistics partners to ensure high service levels and cost efficiency.
- Select logistics service providers together with Procurement and ensure strong performance against KPIs.
- Act as the escalation point for operational issues and customer-related logistics concerns.
- Design and optimize logistics plans, processes, and flows aligned with site strategy.
- Develop and implement the long-term logistics and warehouse strategy.
Financial & ContractManagement
- Monitor and manage the warehouse and logistics budget as well as provider-related costs and savings.
- Ensure effective contract performance, service delivery, and cost control.
Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Improve and develop systems supporting warehouse and logistics activities.
- Lead or contribute to improvement and automation projects across the operation.
Leadership of LogisticsCoordinators
- Provide daily leadership, support, and direction to the Logistics Coordinators team.
- Ensure accurate and timely handling of logistics documentation, including shipping, transport, and customs records.
- Maintain strong relationships with transport companies and other external partners.
- Drive improvements within the team to enhance logistics flows and customer satisfaction.
Customs Reporting &Compliance
- Oversee all customs reporting for internal and external warehouses.
- Ensure accurate customs entries, reconciliations, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Prepare documentation for audits, duty calculations, and compliance reviews.
- Contribute to provider agreements by ensuring customs requirements are clearly defined and monitored.
Key Stakeholders: ProductionQuality, Quality, Procurement, Sales, DepartmentManagers, Supply Chain, TPM, Order Department, Planningas well as external suppliers such as Forwarders and external warehouseproviders
About you
- 7-10 years' experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain, ideally within a manufacturing or process-driven environment.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate, support, and build capability within the team.
- Solid knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics flows, inventory management, and collaboration with external logistics providers.
- Understanding of compliance requirements such as GMP,GDP, and relevant regulations.
- Experience working with SOPs, KPIs, and structured improvement methods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including conducting root-cause analyses.
- Interest in or experience with automation, digital tools, and system improvements within logistics and warehousing.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, both internally and externally.
- A proactive, structured, and solutions-oriented approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
