Role Summary
As Lead Accountant for TRATON Financial Services, you will have overall responsibility for the accounting and financial reporting of Traton Financial Services AB and TRATON Treasury AB. You will lead and support a team of two accountants and ensure accurate and timely accounting in accordance with Swedish K3 standards and IFRS reporting requirements.
The role plays a key part in securing high-quality financial reporting, strong internal controls and efficient accounting processes. You will coordinate the monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes, oversee preparation of the statutory annual reports for both entities, and act as the main contact towards auditors and internal stakeholders. The role reports to theHead of Group Accounting and involves close collaboration with colleagues across TFS, the TRATON Finance Community, and external stakeholders such as auditors, tax authorities and banks.
Job Responsibilities
Accounting & Reporting
- Lead and oversee the accounting and reporting for TFS AB and TRATON Treasury AB.
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting in compliance with Swedish K3 regulations and IFRS reporting requirements.
- Coordinate and review monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of financial reporting submitted to TRATON Group.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure strong financial control environment.
Annual Reports & Statutory Reporting
- Lead the preparation of annual reports for both legal entities in accordance with Swedish regulations.
- Coordinate the year-end closing process and statutory audit.
- Act as primary contact towards external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and fiscal reporting requirements.
Team Leadership
- Lead and support two accountants, ensuring clear task allocation and high-quality delivery.
- Review and approve key accounting work performed by the team.
- Support competence development and continuous improvement within the accounting team.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment.
Process Improvement & Governance
- Drive improvements in accounting processes, reporting routines and internal controls.
- Contribute to the development of a modern and efficient accounting function within TFS.
- Support digitalization initiatives and process automation in accounting and reporting.
- Ensure alignment with TRATON Group accounting policies and governance frameworks.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Treasury, Risk, and other internal stakeholders.
- Act as a key accounting contact within the TRATON Finance Community.
- Support management with financial analysis and ad hoc reporting requests.
Who You Are
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
- more than 10 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting or audit.
- Strong knowledge of Swedish accounting standards (K3) and IFRS reporting.
- Experience with legal entity reporting and preparation of annual reports.
- Experience coordinating audits and regulatory reporting.
- Leadership experience or strong ability to coordinate and guide team members.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
