We are looking for a Laboratory Manager to join our Research & Development organization at our research center in Trosa. About the role

As Laboratory Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational, technical and people leadership of our laboratories. You will support product development, certification, research and customer needs while leading a team of laboratory technicians and engineers. The team works with testing and test design of air filters, housings, accessories, raw materials and air quality.

A key part of the role is to ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient laboratory operations, while continuously developing people, processes, and capabilities in alignment with Camfil's global laboratory strategy.

Some of your main responsibilities include:

Line management of laboratory personnel, including recruitment, performance appraisals, salary reviews, mentoring, and competence development

Full responsibility for health, safety, and compliance in the laboratory environment, including risk assessments and safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and test materials

Ensuring high quality and reliability of test results through well-defined routines for calibration, maintenance, documentation, and test procedures

Responsibility for laboratory budgeting, operating costs, and input to investment and capacity planning

Planning and optimizing laboratory resources, capacity, and priorities to support R&D projects, certification activities, and customer requests

Supporting product development teams, other Camfil laboratories, and customers with test methods, results, and technical expertise

Acting as a key interface towards R&D, Product Management, Quality, and global laboratory networks

Supporting internal and external training, audits, and laboratory tours

You will report to the Director R&D Europe and be based in Trosa, Sweden.

About you

We believe you have:

A master's degree in engineering, physics, or another relevant science discipline, or equivalent experience

Solid line management experience, ideally leading engineers and technicians

Proven experience in laboratory testing

Project management experience

Strong understanding of laboratory quality systems and standards (e.g. ISO-based testing environments)

Excellent Swedish and English communication skills, written and spoken
