Location
This part-time position is based at the AAKBiotechnology Innovation Center in Lund, Sweden, working in closecollaboration with the R&D team at AAK's global headquarters in Malmö.
About the Role
As a Laboratory Assistant, you will join anexperienced R&D team and gain hands-on experience in a professionallaboratory environment. You will work with various laboratory instruments anddevelop valuable skills in laboratory organization, equipment operation, andbasic experimental work.
Responsibilities
-Actively contribute to laboratory organization and chemical handling
-Ordering of chemicals and consumables, as well as communication with suppliers
-Follow established methods with high precision and document results in structured reports
-Perform routine maintenance and safety checks of laboratory equipment
-Identify and report any signs of equipment malfunction through weekly reports
AboutYou
-Master of Science student or graduate in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field
-Strong interest in wet-lab work, laboratory organization, and instrument maintenance
-Able to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks
-A flexible mindset and basic problem-solving skills
-Experience in analytical methods such as gas and liquid chromatography is an advantage
-Strong English language skills, both written and verbal
-Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
