About the role and our team

As a Junior Associate in our Employment team, you will work closely with client representatives, including HR functions and legal counsels, as well as Baker McKenzie colleagues all over the world providing high-quality legal advice on a broad range of employment law matters.

Your work will include advising on matters such as,

  • Terminations and dismissals
  • Reorganizations and restructurings
  • Rehabilitation and work environment
  • Performance management issues and internal investigations
  • Union negotiations
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts and related documentation


You will prepare legal memoranda and assessments, contribute to the development of templates and internal working methods, and be involved in employment-related data privacy matters.

As part of a global full-service law firm, you will also work with employment law aspects of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and business transfers. Many of our assignments are cross-border, and you will collaborate daily with colleagues in Stockholm as well as across Baker McKenzie's international network.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking candidates who have recently completed, or are about to complete, aSwedish Master of Law (LL.M.), or to have completed the necessarysupplementary studiesto obtain such a degree in Sweden, with strong academic results. Candidates with some prior experience in employment law are also encouraged to apply.

  • Are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written


Nice to have,

  • Previous experience in employment law or closely related areas
  • International experience, such as studies or work abroad
  • Completed clerkship at a District Court / Administrative Court
