Role Overview

Our client in the banking sector is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Assistant to support the execution of an information security and compliance-focused project. This role demands a hands-on professional capable of managing both strategic direction and day-to-day coordination, ensuring timely delivery and effective risk control across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of project scope, ensuring objectives are clearly defined and successfully delivered

Monitor and evaluate risk indicators while implementing appropriate mitigation strategies

Coordinate with stakeholders, ensuring transparent and timely communication throughout the project lifecycle

Collaborate closely with PMOs and workstream leads to maintain alignment and seamless execution

Support team members by providing direction to ensure quality outputs and deliverables

Develop, track, and adjust project timelines to reflect realistic delivery plans

Oversee project progress, dependencies, and key milestones from initiation to completion

Manage financial aspects of the project, including budgeting and cost tracking

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and execution plans

Prepare structured progress reports and present updates to senior leadership

Develop executive-level materials such as presentations and detailed Excel reports covering risks, status, and financials

Handle escalations efficiently and resolve issues impacting delivery

Engage stakeholders proactively to identify risks early and implement preventive solutions

Required Experience

Intermediate-level experience in project coordination or delivery roles

Proven track record in stakeholder management and project reporting

Experience working in complex environments with multiple stakeholders

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferred)
