We are looking for highly skilled HIL Developers to support one of our clients within automotive software development. You will work in an advanced environment developing and validating software for AD/ADAS, protective safety systems, and vehicle motion control.The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and improving HIL test environments and CI pipelines, ensuring high availability, stability, and performance of the test infrastructure used by multiple software development teams.
Key Responsibilities
HIL Development & Test Infrastructure
Design, develop, and update HIL rig solutions based on product team requirements.
Commission new test rigs and integrate hardware and software components.
Maintain and continuously improve HIL environments to ensure stability and availability.
Perform fault tracing and root cause analysis across hardware, software, and infrastructure.
Automation & CI/CD
Develop automation solutions supporting CI pipelines and system test teams.
Improve CI pipeline performance, reliability, and metrics visualization.
Act as first-line triage for CI environment disturbances.
Support system test automation across multiple product teams.
Documentation & Collaboration
Maintain accurate documentation of HIL rigs, configurations, and updates.
Collaborate closely with software developers, system testers, and CI teams.
Independently drive improvements and contribute to continuous optimization initiatives.
Required Competence & Experience
HIL & Automotive Testing
Proven experience in HIL development using:
dSPACE
Vector CANoe
Strong background in automotive electrical architecture and embedded systems.
Experience with automotive diagnostic and communication protocols:
CAN
LIN
Ethernet
Programming & Tooling
Programming experience in Python, CAPL, and C
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
Familiarity with Git, command-line tools, and SSH
CI/CD & Automation
Experience working with CI infrastructure, including:
Pipelines
Dashboards
Monitoring and metrics
Experience in test automation frameworks (e.g. Robot Framework) is a plus.
Ways of Working & Soft Skills
Strong automotive domain knowledge combined with excellent communication skills.
Comfortable working in Agile development environments.
Ability to work independently, drive improvements, and perform structured analysis.
Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
