Om jobbet

Join Froda as our Head of AML, where you'll shape how we build a smart, risk-based AML capability that supports our European growth journey.

About Froda

Froda was founded in 2015 with a clear purpose. We want to give small and medium-sized businesses the same opportunities to grow as large corporations. We believe it should be easy for business owners to invest in their ideas, and by democratizing access to financing, we can help more people turn their ambitions into reality.

Our business model is based on shared incentives. Therefore, we have no hidden fees, unexpected costs, or surprises, just a transparent partnership built on mutual success. It may sound obvious, but in our industry, it's actually quite rare.

We are currently live in 7 markets, 100+ employees, and ready to scale our lending model across Europe.

What You'll Do

As Head of AML, you'll define Froda's AML strategy and governance across all markets, ensuring regulatory alignment while enabling the business to move efficiently and safely. You'll lead the risk-based approach to how AML is woven into product flows, partner journeys, automation, and day-to-day operating model.

At Froda, we see the AML function as a strategic enabler, not just a requirement. Therefore, this position is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of risk, business, tech, and operations. Someone who understands AML deeply and is motivated by supporting business development, helping Froda grow confidently across multiple markets while ensuring we mitigate risk and meet regulatory requirements.

Your leadership will ensure AML becomes a trusted, well-understood part of Froda's operating model, enabling growth without compromising on risk or control.

The role includes:
  • Overall responsibility and mandate. Own and refine Froda's AML/CTF and Sanctions framework, including BWRA, CRR, transaction monitoring, instructions, routines, and processes.
  • Translating strategy into actions. Turn strategy and regulatory requirements into actionable tasks.
  • Execution and implementation. Ensure progress, delivery and implementation of strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Governance and alignment. Define and maintain AML governance, risk appetite, and regulatory alignment across all markets.
  • Department and team lead. Lead and develop the AML function and team, building the capabilities and structure required for multi-market operations.
  • Internal stakeholder management. Partner with Product, Tech, and Operations to design scalable, automated AML solutions for onboarding, monitoring, and partner journeys.
  • Management and board reporting. Act as a trusted advisor to management and the board, ensuring high quality reporting, including current risk, status, and recommended solutions that enables decision-making and direction.
  • Support market expansion. Ensuring AML processes, systems, and routines are scalable and ready for new geographies.
  • External stakeholder management. Prepare and lead dialogues with regulators, control functions, and other external stakeholders.
  • Enable trust-building partnerships. Collaborate and seek possibilities with our partners to drive solutions and integrations that work in symbiosis with our AML frameworks and partner needs.

What You'll Bring

Your practicalwork experience and expertiseincludes:
  • 5+ years of experience in AML or financial crime prevention, either through senior AML roles or through AML combined with business development or consulting experience.
  • Strong understanding of AML regulations and the ability to translate them into business-aligned requirements.
  • Leadership experience from building, leading, and developing teams.
  • Experience embedding AML into operational workflows, systems, or product flows.
  • Holistic mindset, confident judgment and the ability to balance risk management with the overall business objectives and needs.
  • Experience building or maturing AML functions in multi-market environments and guiding the business through change.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence across Product, Tech, Operations, and Commercial teams.
  • University degree in a relevant field.

To match our mindset of seeing AML not only as a control function, but as a way to enable compliant and scalable growth - we believe yourpersonal skills include:
  • Ownership and self-leadership. A strong sense of responsibility and self-drive to lead the function, yourself, and team forward, from analysis to implementation.
  • Operational excellence mindset. Curiosity to continuously identify and implement risk-based and efficient ways to ensure regulatory requirements are fulfilled.
  • Solution-orientation. Suggesting and implementing solutions that balances business objectives with regulatory requirements.
