GLOBAL IT COMMODITY MANAGER

Location: European entities - open

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

The Global IT Procurement Manager will lead the strategic sourcing and procurement of IT products and services across the organization. This role is accountable for delivering cost-effective, compliant, and high-performance procurement outcomes while ensuring alignment with business objectives and global IT strategy. The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners to optimize procurement processes and supplier relationships worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Category Leadership
  • Develop and implement global sourcing strategies across IT categories including hardware, software, cloud infrastructure, telecommunications, and professional services.
  • Drive category management initiatives to ensure competitive advantage, innovation, and supplier performance.
  • Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and supplier governance to secure optimal commercial and operational terms.

Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnership
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, Legal, and other key functions to capture requirements and translate them into effective procurement strategies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, providing market intelligence, procurement insights, and strategic guidance.

Cost Optimization & Risk Mitigation
  • Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities through competitive sourcing, supplier consolidation, and demand management.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, cybersecurity standards, and applicable regulatory frameworks.

Contract Management
  • Oversee the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and legal terms.
  • Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and SLAs, ensuring service quality, delivery timelines, and continuous improvement.

Process Excellence & Performance Reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, tools, and systems to enhance transparency, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Deliver regular reporting and analytics on spend, savings, supplier performance, and procurement KPIs


Qualifications

WHAT'S NEEDED FOR YOU TO THRIVE
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in IT procurement within a global or multinational environment.
  • Deep understanding of IT categories including SaaS, cloud services, cybersecurity, and software licensing models.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
  • Proficiency with major procurement platforms such as Oracle JDE, SAP or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset.
