We are now looking for a Finance Systems Specialist to act as the link between Finance and IT, ensuring our ERP platform (Maconomy) supports efficient, accurate and future-ready operations across multiple markets .
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Maconomy Expert to take a key role in the ownership, development, and day-to-day support of our Maconomy platform. You will work within Global IT supporting a complex, project-based organization operating across multiple European countries.
The role combines hands-on Maconomy expertise, strong financial process understanding, and the ability to support statutory reporting and banking requirements in a multi-country environment.
You will belong to a high-functioning team consisting of 16 dedicated colleagues, working along functional and operational streams of the Financial applications service portfolio. We are a multi-country team supporting multi-country demands. We maximise the usage of digital tools to work effectively at distance, but also meet for cooperative sessions in Stockholm on a monthly or bi-monthly basis. A collective and positive approach is essential.

This position is preferably located in Stockholm or Helsinki.
Key responsibilities
- Act as system owner and subject-matter expert for Maconomy
- Configure, maintain, and continuously improve Maconomy to support business and finance needs
- Support project accounting, billing, revenue recognition, and period-end close
- Ensure Maconomy supports statutory financial reporting and banking processes across multiple European entities
- Manage master data, system controls, and user access
- Support and troubleshoot integrations with Expense, Banking and Payment solutions
- Act as a bridge between Finance, Project Management, IT, and external partners
Required skills and experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Maconomy
- Strong expertise in project-based ERP and financial modules
- Experience configuring and supporting Maconomy in a complex organization
- Strong understanding of the Maconomy data model
- Ability to analyse issues, identify root causes, and propose sustainable solutions
- Strong communication skills (English) and ability to work with both finance and non-finance stakeholders

Preferred qualifications
- Background in financial statutory reporting and banking
- Experience working with statutory and regulatory requirements across multiple European countries
- Understanding of local GAAP and IFRS interactions in a multi-entity environment
- Experience supporting external audits, statutory close, and regulatory reporting
- Experience with banking formats, payment processes, and bank integrations
- Experience with Maconomy upgrades, migrations, or major implementations
- Previous role as Maconomy system owner, superuser, or ERP consultant
