ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT

We are seeking an experiencedEnterprise Architectwith deep expertise in enterprise applications, digital transformation, and architectural governance. In this role, you will define, steer, and continuously evolve our global application architecture to support strategic business goals, modernization initiatives, and long-term technology direction.

You will collaborate closely with senior business leaders, global IT stakeholders, domain architects, and development teams to shape a cohesive and future-ready application ecosystem. The role demands strong architectural vision, the ability to influence at senior levels, and excellence in communication-fluent English (spoken and written) is required.

This position is based in Stockholm and operates with a global remit.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Architecture Leadership & Strategic Direction

• Own and develop the enterprise application architecture strategy across the organization.
• Define target architecture, standards, principles, and guidelines to ensure a harmonized and scalable landscape.
• Conduct architecture assessments and drive initiatives for portfolio simplification, modernization, and rationalization.

Transformation & Program Leadership

• Serve as the lead architect for major global transformation programs, including ERP transitions, enterprise platform strategy, integrations, and cloud-enabled transformations.
• Oversee architecture design, ensuring alignment with business strategy, technology standards, cybersecurity requirements, and integration best practices.
• Act as architectural authority during execution, guiding solution teams and ensuring adherence to approved designs.

Senior Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with executive stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into architectural roadmaps and actionable initiatives.
• Influence decision-making at senior levels by presenting architectural options, risks, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with global teams to harmonize regional and enterprise-wide architectural directions.

Technology Advisory & Innovation

• Evaluate emerging technologies, assess their strategic fit, and guide the organization on adoption opportunities.
• Lead feasibility studies, architecture reviews, and build strong business cases for key technology choices.
• Promote innovation aligned with long-term IT strategy and business value creation.

Documentation, Governance & Compliance

• Maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including application landscapes, integration architecture, standards, and roadmaps.
• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture governance, IT security requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Drive continuous improvement of architecture governance processes and tools.

Qualifications

WHAT'S NEEDED FOR YOU TO THRIVE

• Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise, solution, or application architecture roles.
  • Demonstrated leadership in driving large-scale digital and application transformation programs.
  • Strong experience with complex enterprise application landscapes, integrations, and cloud platforms.
  • Background in ERP or enterprise platforms is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Technical Skills:
  • Deep understanding of application architecture, integration patterns, APIs, and enterprise platforms.
  • Experience with architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) is a plus.
  • Strong capability in designing future-state architectures and guiding organizations through transformation.
• Language:Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complexity into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to operate in a global, matrixed environment.
