We are looking for an Engineering Manager, Powertrain & Hydraulics within the R&D New Product Development department of the Counter Balanced (CB) division. In this role, you will drive the development and guiding a team of engineers to deliver innovative, high-quality products that support Kalmar's vision for sustainable and efficient material handling.
What are your key responsibilities:
- Delivery Quality & Compliance Responsibility: Ensure team deliveries meet technical customer demands, product safety standards, legislative requirements, and internal CB product requirements.
- Planning & Execution Ownership: Plan and execute design activities according to agreed cost and time plans.
- Strategic Leadership & Direction: Drive the strategy for the area of responsibility in alignment with the overall division strategy.
- Team Competence Development: Develop and strengthen team competences to support current and future needs.
- Process Development & Interface Management: Develop effective processes for the area of responsibility, including key interfaces with other processes, teams, and functions.
- Budget & Performance Management: Manage the team's budget and overall performance to ensure efficient and goal-oriented operations.

What you bring to the role:
- Educational Background: MSc or BSc in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Solid technical knowledge of non-road mobile machinery or similar rubber-tired vehicles. Experience in product development activities within electrical engineering is required. Familiarity with other Kalmar products is considered a plus.
- Competencies: Visionary and participative, able to engage others in problem-solving and decision-making. Coaching mindset, empowering team members and supporting growth. Skilled in planning, prioritization, decision-making, and driving change.
- Leadership & Team Development: Proven ability to lead teams, develop competences, and create a motivated, accountable, and high-performing environment.
- Language & Communication: Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
