Our client is currently searching for Electrical Engineering Technicians:

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Authorised Person (AP) to join our team on a high-profile data centre project in Gävle, Sweden. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment on a mission-critical infrastructure project. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems, working closely with project stakeholders to meet strict compliance and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the Authorised Person (AP) for electrical systems, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project-specific procedures.

Oversee the operation, isolation, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Issue permits to work (PTW) and ensure that safety documentation is in place and up-to-date.

Perform inspections, audits, and safety checks on electrical installations.

Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and site managers to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues within electrical systems to maintain uptime and safety.

Ensure compliance with Swedish and EU electrical standards.

Requirements

To qualify for this position and meet the requirements for a Swedish work permit, applicants must possess the following:

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an Electrical Authorised Person or in a similar capacity.

Proven experience on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects, preferably data centres or mission-critical environments.

Relevant Electrical Engineering qualifications (e.g., HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).

Authorization or certification in line with electrical safety standards.

Strong understanding of HV/LV electrical systems, including isolation and switching procedures.

Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and relevant safety documentation.

Personal Attributes

Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Adaptable and capable of working under pressure to meet project deadlines.

Additional Requirements

Applicants must provide proof of eligibility to work in the EU or the ability to obtain a Swedish work permit (assistance will be provided for the right candidate).

A willingness to relocate to Gävle, Sweden for the project duration.
