EcoDataCenter is in a phase of rapid expansion. The campus in Falun is a fully operational, high-performing site with strong utilization, and as demand continues to grow, we are now scaling both operations and organization. At the same time, new sites are being developed, making this a key moment in EcoDataCenter's continued journey.
About the Position
As Data Center Campus Director, you hold overall accountability for site operations in Falun and provide strong local leadership across operations and cross-functional service delivery.
You are responsible for the end-to-end operational outcome - from risk management and operational governance to delivery against SLAs - always with a clear focus on availability, stability, and customer trust, ensuring safe, stable, and high-performing 24/7 operations.
In this role, you are responsible for a highly competent and engaged organization of approximately 40 employees, including six direct reports. A key part of the role is to further develop a high-performing local operations team, strengthen structures and ways of working, and ensure continuous improvement alongside high levels of customer satisfaction. The team is characterized by deep expertise, strong commitment, and a collaborative and positive culture.
Reporting to the COO, you operate at the intersection of technology, people, and business. You work closely with Operations Group functions to ensure alignment with group standards, while also collaborating cross-functionally across the company and with key external partners. You have a clear mandate to prioritize activities, allocate resources, and actively manage customer impact.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the overall campus leader, with full accountability for operations, organizational performance, and service delivery in line with SLAs
• Ensure safe, stable, and high-performing 24/7 operations, including responsibility for site security, HSE, risk management, and incident response
• Drive continuous improvement and operational optimization, leveraging best practices to strengthen reliability, efficiency, and long-term performance
• Lead change and development initiatives on site, balancing risk, availability, and customer impact to ensure and protect live operations
• Be accountable for operational readiness and handover, ensuring the site is fully prepared for safe, stable, and high-performing live operations
• Ensure effective maintenance and lifecycle management of facilities, buildings, technical infrastructure, and physical security, aligned with performance and availability requirements
• Drive strong collaboration and alignment across critical operational functions, enabling clear ownership, effective interfaces, and high-quality day-to-day operations
• Lead and develop a capable and resilient site team, setting clear expectations and leading by example to build a strong culture of safety, quality, and accountability, where continuous improvement and lessons learned are embedded into everyday ways of working
Your Profile
You bring extensive experience from data center operations or other critical infrastructure environments, such as energy, process industry, or healthcare. You have a strong track record of managing large-scale, complex operations with high availability, where safety, service delivery, and incident management are business-critical.
You combine a solid understanding of risk management, redundancy principles, and safety-critical operations with proven experience in driving continuous improvement and operational optimization. You are used to working closely with customers, contractors, and strategic partners, and have experience of change management and operational readiness, preferably within established frameworks such as ITIL or similar. You also have experience working with HSE, Permit to Work (PTW), and regulatory compliance.
You hold a relevant academic degree or equivalent professional experience and are fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
As a leader, you have a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in complex environments. You set clear direction, prioritize effectively, and build structure and ways of working that enable scale over time. Through a collaborative and people-focused approach, you create engagement, accountability, and a strong culture of safety and performance across the organization.
