Are you motivated by shaping strong partnerships with leading industrial customers and supporting their transition toward a cleaner future?We are looking for an experienced, driven and relationship-oriented Customer Director to join our team in Solna, Sweden. You will be a part of the Corporate Customers and Markets (CCM) business unit, which serves as the customer interface for large industrial customers, electricity retailers and other power trading companies across the Nordic market.
About the role
As a Customer Director, you'll play a key role in building strong, strategic partnerships with established industrial companies and support innovative new industrial startups on their decarbonization journey.
You will connect with key players in the industry while actively managing and expanding our existing customer base. In addition, you will collaborate with other business areas within Fortum Group to unlock new opportunities and strengthen partnerships across the board. You will travel and engage directly with clients, keeping you at the heart of building impactful relationships across industries.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Identify and engage new clients, uncover opportunities for business growth, and establish a thriving client base.
- Deliver engaging presentations, compelling product/service demonstrations, and high-impact pitches to potential clients.
- Lead complex negotiations, address customer concerns professionally, and close sales deals that elevate our impact.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with key clients, ensuring their satisfaction while identifying areas for partnership growth.
- Maintain records of sales activities in CRM systems and keep customer databases at the forefront of strategic decisions.
The scope of this role covers Fortum's full product portfolio, which includes Commodity Market Access, PPAs, physical supply, portfolio management, Guarantees of Origin, flexibility services, and strategic partnerships in exciting areas such as hydrogen, new nuclear, and new renewable projects (wind, solar, batteries).

We're looking for someone who has:
- Extensive experience in sales with a proven track record.
- A solid background in managing large industrial clients.
- Experience and understanding of the energy industry and its complexities.
- Familiarity with large-scale energy contracts is a strong advantage.
- Exceptional negotiation skills, particularly in handling intricate contracts with industrial customers.
- Experience in managing multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills that foster collaboration and drive results.
- Educational credentials such as a university degree, MBA, or other relevant qualifications.
- Fluent and confident English and Swedish language skills.
