Laboratory Medicine is a county-wide organization with operations in Lycksele, Skellefteå, and Umeå. Laboratory Medicine Västerbotten employs approximately 550 people in clinical genetics, clinical immunology and transfusion medicine, clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology, and clinical pathology. Biobank, infection control, and tissue establishment are also part of Laboratory Medicine. The operations are accredited.

Clinical Chemistry, where you will be based, is one of five laboratory specialties. Of the approximately 135 employees in Clinical Chemistry, 10 are located in Lycksele.

The department operates 24/7 and is an integrated part of Lycksele Hospital. At the Lycksele laboratory, clinical chemical analyses are performed in areas such as general chemistry, hematology, and coagulation, most of which are carried out on automated multi-analyzers. Rapid tests in clinical microbiology, a blood collection service, and emergency blood group serology are also included.

Arbetsuppgifter
As a member of our team, you contribute knowledge and commitment that help people feel safe.

You will work with maintenance, analysis, and validation of patient samples on larger analysis instruments, as well as manual methods and sample sorting. Work with blood collection may also be included. You will work independently but also as an important part of the team.

Kvalifikationer
We are looking for someone who is a licensed biomedical analyst, biomedical scientist, or has another three-year science degree that the employer considers equivalent. Experience in clinical laboratory work is an advantage. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and can act professionally in various situations, with the ability to collaborate with multiple professional categories. We want you to see connections and, based on needs, contribute to the development of the operations. We offer varied work with significant individual responsibility where your expertise is used for the benefit of the organization and the patient.

Training and onboarding will be provided based on your competence.
