We are looking for a Bazel Architect to lead the design and implementation of a next-generation build and integration infrastructure within automotive software development. This role is central to enabling scalable, efficient and traceable software delivery across embedded and cloud environments.

Your profile

For this position, we believe the ideal candidate has:

5+ years of experience working with build systems, DevOps tooling, or software platform development

Deep expertise in Bazel, including custom rule development and build graph optimization

Experience integrating Bazel with Zuul CI or similar CI/CD frameworks

Solid understanding of embedded software development and cross-compilation toolchains

Proficiency in C++, Python or Java

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple engineering domains

Meritorious experience:

Deploying Zuul CI at scale

Working with containerized build environments (Docker, Kubernetes)

Background in automotive embedded software (RTOS, middleware, platform integration)

Understanding of AUTOSAR, ASPICE, and ISO 26262 compliance requirements

What you will do

As a Bazel Architect, you will play a key role in shaping the next-generation build and integration strategy for automotive software platforms. Your responsibilities include:

Designing, maintaining and scaling a Bazel-based build system

Integrating Bazel with Zuul CI for automated build and test workflows

Leading migration from legacy build systems such as CMake, Gradle, and Make

Optimizing build performance using remote execution, caching, and deterministic builds

Working closely with embedded, DevOps, platform and testing teams to secure seamless end-to-end build and integration processes

Supporting compliance with AUTOSAR, ASPICE, and ISO 26262 standards
