About Us

Capital Markets is part of KPMG Deal Advisory which consists of four departments: Capital Markets, Transaction Services, Deal Strategy and Corporate Finance. As a team, Capital Markets take on a wide range of assignments within our four service lines: IPO readiness, Deal Accounting, US Capital Markets and Digital Capital Markets.

Our Deal Accounting team specializes in transaction-related matters, encompassing both private and public deals. We assist companies in planning, structuring, and managing the financial effects of their transactions. Additionally, our team supports finance functions undergoing transformation, often linked to transactions or IPOs, where enhanced processes and reporting are essential.

Your Role

As an Associate in Deal Accounting, you will develop your knowledge in a variety of questions related to companies in a listed environment or on the way to become listed and financial reporting matters in connection with deal transactions. Your daily work may include:
  • Assisting in the analysis of structuring and accounting questions related to capital market transactions (e.g., carve-outs, mergers/demergers, pro forma requirements).
  • Supporting companies with the preparation of financial information, including annual reports, interim reports, and pro forma financials.
  • Providing quality assurance of prospectuses and analysis in transaction structuring.
  • Assist finance functions in transactions with internal and external reporting as well as process improvements.
  • Supporting companies to establish an internal control framework and improved financial processes that ensure accurate financial reporting and information disclosures.
  • Building your network through relationships with senior stakeholders at the client and within KPMG.

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field, such as business or economics, specialization in accounting is meriting.
  • 0-2 years of work experience
  • A genuine interest and proficiency in accounting will help you excel in this role
  • Analytical skills and be solution oriented
  • Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • High proficiency in English and Swedish, both written and orally.
  • It is meriting if you have work experience from a consulting firm, auditing or a finance function.
