We're looking for aArea Lead Compensation (Group Level) to join us at Telia.

What you'll do:

As Area Lead Compensation, you will play an important role in developing and maintaining Telia's group-wide compensation frameworks across all our markets. Reporting to the Head of Total Reward, you will work with both Reward and labour-law matters to ensure that our compensation structures, processes and policies are competitive, compliant and well-functioning.

A key part of the role is to lead Telia's group-wide Short-Term Incentive (STI) framework and the annual salary review process. You will translate our Reward strategy into clear principles, support senior leaders and HR with expert guidance, and work closely with country Reward teams to secure consistent and high-quality implementation. This also includes having a role in the governance and further development of our Job Architecture, ensuring good alignment between compensation structures and the framework.

Compensation frameworks & processes
  • Lead and further develop group-wide compensation frameworks, including STI design and the annual salary review process.
  • Ensure compensation practices comply with labour law, collective agreements and EU regulations, including the EU Pay Transparency Directive.
  • Provide guidance to senior leaders and HR on compensation and employment-related matters.


Contribute to the governance and development of Telia's Job Architecture.

Collaboration & alignment
  • Partner with country Reward teams and People Partners to harmonize local practices with group standards.
  • Drive and support key Reward initiatives and cross-country development projects.


Labour relations
  • Build and maintain constructive relationships with unions and employee representatives.
  • Support group-level dialogue and processes involving the European Works Council (EWC).


What will help you thrive in this role:

Your experience:
  • Solid experience in Compensation & Reward at group or multinational level.
  • Good understanding of labour law and experience applying legal requirements in compensation processes.
  • Experience working with unions, collective agreements and preferably EWC processes.
  • Experience advising senior leaders on compensation and employment matters.
  • Experience with HR systems such as Workday.
  • Fluent in English; additional Nordic or Baltic languages are an advantage.
  • Degree in Law, HR, Business Administration or similar.
