Ongoing digitalization, together with virtualization and the introduction of 5G is driving new opportunities for service providers. It gives possibilities to capitalize on the investments better by programming and slicing 4G and 5G networks for specific consumer and industry needs. It also gives possibilities to automate operations and become radically more efficient, and to serve and engage with customers digitally.
Application Development Platform (ADP) framework is the way forward at Ericsson for developing cloud native applications, following a modern design pattern: microservice architecture based on container technology and Kubernetes orchestration. Anchor Development & Operations is a unit within Product Development Unit (PDU) Component Development, driving the ADP Anchor operations currently manned by ten teams of developers, and we are growing.
ADP Anchor is at the core of ADP program and providing some of the key central functions supporting the whole ADP community, which includes the CI/CD (Continuous integration / continuous delivery) operations on multiple cloud environments and generic micro-services integration and staging, the development of product release automation and CICD tools, defining framework policies, crafting ADP tutorials, and providing support to ADP users.
We are now looking for one additional developer to our ADP CICD teams. Currently, we are 22 persons in the ADP CICD area.
What you will do:
- Develop ADP CI/CD pipeline based on Docker container, Kubernetes and Helm technology, conduct test analysis and test case development
- Develop the ADP dashboard for visualization
- Contribute to AI initiatives & Drive Improvements and innovations
- Provide test execution and troubleshooting for ADP
- Use ADP CI/CD tools and utility development
- Report to Manager within ADP CI/CD
The skills you bring:
- Good understanding of working and solving problems in a Linux environment
- Experience in crafting cloud native microservices using Docker and deploying in Kubernetes using Helm, prior ADP knowledge is a huge plus
- Shown experience of Java and JCAT (Java Common Auto Tester) and good knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Ruby
- Wide knowledge of CI/CD, preferably using Jenkins (freestyle / pipelines project), and good knowledge on SCM (Source Code Management) tools like GIT, Gerrit
- Experience in engines work flow, like Spinnaker
- An ability and readiness to work accordingly to Agile methodologies
