Function & Role

As VP Talent & Culture at Skanska, you have a global and leading role for Skanska's work with talent management and culture. The overall responsibility involves continuous development and implementation of the people and culture strategy for the Group as well as leading a team of strong professionals in the areas of Learning & Development, Talent & Succession and Inclusion, Diversity & Engagement.

Your main areas of responsibility are to

  • Lead the Talent & Culture team
  • Develop short- and long-term strategy within talent management and culture
  • Secure good prioritization, implementation and follow up of group-wide initiatives within talent management and culture
  • Be part of the Group HR leadership team together with EVP HR and VP Compensation & Benefits
  • Secure a strong experience for Skanska employees, delivering a consistent and attractive experience throughout the employee journey
  • Act as HR Partner for a select number of Skanska Business Units, working closely with the responsible Group Leadership Team EVP, to:
    • Prepare for recruitment decisions to Management teams
    • Support development of succession candidates
    • Support cross-BU moves of key individuals
    • Assure quality of succession plans to BU management teams

You manage a team of three and report to the Executive Vice President HR.

Qualifications & Skills

You have a relevant academic degree and several years of experience working in a similar role at group level. Most likely you have worked in a large international company, with strategic responsibility for the Talent & Culture area. Perhaps you also have a background as a consultant in the field where you acted as an advisor to top management on these issues.

It is of great importance that you have a solid experience of supporting senior managers and that you are skilled and confident as a leader with a strong interest in leading and developing others.

You are driven, trustworthy, pragmatic, methodical and communicative, and your aptitude for creating commitment, engaging others and making things happen, is clear. In order to succeed in this role, a good business understanding is required, as well as the ability to navigate a large and complex organization.

Although the role is strategic, it is important that you also appreciate taking on and managing things operationally, albeit in general and through others.

Some travel is included, and the position requires English proficiency.
