Sandvik Coromant is the largest division within Sandvik Machining Solutions, and a market leading supplier of tools, tooling solutions and know-how for the metalworking industry. We have an exciting and global business with almost 8 000 brilliant minds and a clear philosophy – we shape the future of manufacturing in close collaboration with our customers!
Right now, we are looking for a driven, organized and communicative leader to join us as Vice President and Head of Finance & Pricing. A true business professional who’s eager to impact the future of Sandvik Coromant, by embracing opportunities and challenges in a shifting financial landscape and driving a positive development of our financial operations.
When entering this central position, you’re responsible for our full financial scope, and you advise us towards successful decision making and support our business development and growth. You set financial targets, pricing structures and prioritize what activities we should focus on, and you take lead in both planning and execution. As part of our growth ambition includes M&As, you are highly involved in these processes and the following integration of acquired companies. Based on accurate results and grounded forecasts, you communicate and present brief and to the point information, and you transform numbers into strong business advantages. An important part of your job is to ensure compliance with internal frameworks, as well as global laws and regulations. You also look at financial trends, risks and possible impacts to the business, and you explore market development and new digital solutions to make sure we stay on top of our game.
Continuous improvements is in our DNA and team spirit is key to our success. You establish a strong and collaborative finance community – involving resources within Sandvik Coromant, as well as stakeholders from the wider organization – and you create a setting where we stay connected to the business, share ideas and drive development. You truly believe that connecting people, processes and financial insights is the road to success.
On top of this, you provide a clear, inclusive and mentoring leadership to our organization and your own team of competent professionals. You report directly to the President of Sandvik Coromant, and are a valued member of our management team. The location for this position is flexible within Europe, though the role requires considerable presence in both Stockholm and Sandviken, Sweden. As we’re a global business, travel is normally required.
Your background and profile
We are looking for someone with a relevant finance or business degree, strong business acumen and a solid financial background formed within a corporate environment. You have at least ten years’ experience from leading financial operations – both strategically and operationally - and you’re skilled in driving change and managing stakeholders in large, international organizations. Previous experience from M&As and business development is needed, and so is the ability to confidently advice and direct decisions-making at management level. In addition, you have a strong set of communication skills and are used to presenting financial information to various target groups, which calls for excellent written and verbal skills in English. We also consider an understanding of the metal working industry as highly beneficial.
You mix a strategic and commercial mind, along with an ambitious drive to ensure operational excellence within the field of finance. You’re guided by integrity and a genuine desire to create team spirit, inspire people and help us grow, and your leadership style is transparent and empowering. Finding improvements and new ways of working excites you, and you challenge us when you think it’s necessary.
The Sandvik Coromant culture
